Athletics Unveils Official App for 2015 Football Season

COLLEGE STATION--Just in time for the historic 2015 football season and the grand opening of the newly-redeveloped Kyle Field, Texas A&M Athletics and the 12th Man Foundation unveiled this week its official athletics app -- available now for free on iOS and Android devices.
The app, developed in partnership with industry leader Yinzcam, delivers Kyle Field-specific features as well as news, scores, schedules, rosters, videos, social media content, photos and much more from all Texas A&M sports right to the fan.
"This weekend is truly historic with the opening of the redeveloped Kyle Field. This facility is much more than bricks and mortar," said Jason Cook, Texas A&M's senior associate athletics director for external affairs. "The technology throughout Kyle Field will enhance our nationally recognized fan experience even more, and the Texas A&M app developed by YinzCam is the perfect game day complement."
Upon downloading the app, fans can click the "Kyle Field" link to access stadium info including seating charts, an A-to-Z guide, real-time parking and traffic information and more to help enhance the game day experience for Aggies making the trek to College Station.
Among the industry firsts in the collegiate space, fans inside Kyle Field will have access to replays through several camera angles throughout the game. In accordance with SEC rules, the replays feature will be available only to fans inside Kyle Field and those connected to the stadium's free wi-fi service – 12th Man wi-fi. The app also will deliver live game audio and live statistics to anyone around the world.
Continuing the theme of being one of the most innovative collegiate athletics apps around, patrons in any of the 114 suites inside the stadium will be able to control their TVs through the app with the touch of a button.
Future enhancements of the app will include the use of beacons throughout Kyle Field and the Hall of Champions, and the ability for fans to download digital keepsakes—giving them the ability to share unique content with friends and family and across social platforms.
