Texas A&M Men’s Tennis Inks Elite Prospect Vacherot

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M men's tennis head coach Steve Denton confirmed Monday afternoon the signing of elite prospect Valentin Vacherot of France to the Aggies' 2017 recruiting class.
"We are so excited for Valentin to join our team in January," Denton said. "His professional approach will help him on the court and in the classroom. I expect him to make an impact as soon as he arrives In Aggieland."
Vacherot is an established youth player, having achieved a 13.92 rating in the Universal Tennis Ratings as well as earning a career-high ATP ranking of 814 last month. The Frenchman advanced to the finals of the Tunisia F24 Futures in September and the right-hander has picked up ATP points at the Tunisia F25, Slovak Republic F3, Tunisia F23 and the France F13. Vacherot is the cousin of Texas A&M All-American Arthur Rinderknech.
