On the chance to play the Houston Dash…
"It was a great experience for our players. Everybody who was available to play got to go in and play against a team that was extreme skillful. It was a really cool experience. I'm really thankful to Randy (Waldrum) and the Dash organization for coming here to play. It's very good for soccer in Brazos Valley and it is definitely good for our team."
On the match…
"The two goals that they (the Dash) scored were world class. The free kick by (Amber) Brooks – I don't think we've seen a shot like that before here at Ellis Field, including when the Dynamo played here or Sporting Kansas City. That was just an amazing free kick. And the diving header late in the match was a great learning experience for us. It was preventable, but it still took an amazing effort by (Rachel) Daly to score the goal. Beyond that, I think we got better and better after the slow start. We got the belief in ourselves back early in the second half and we made it very competitive."
On what was accomplished in the spring session…
"This has been a terrific spring. We already had a tight-knit team and a lot of talent. But to see them now start to put it together on the field. The played really well in spurts tonight. It showed what they have the possibility of doing in the fall."
