TOURNAMENT PREVIEW: Frisco College Baseball Classic

FRISCO, Texas – The No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies hit the road for the first time in 2018, traveling to the Frisco College Baseball Classic at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The Maroon & White open up with Louisiana Tech on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by contests against Baylor at 6 p.m. on Saturday and California at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
With a win Friday, the Aggies would start 10-0 for the 13th time in school annals. Texas A&M last strung together that many wins to start a season in 2015 when they rattled off an SEC record 24 victories to begin the year.
The Aggies enter the weekend ranked in the top 10 in the nation in both batting average (.353) and earned-run average (1.89).
Texas A&M boasts three batters hitting over .400, including Logan Foster (.481), Zach DeLoach (.457) and Chris Andritsos (.407). DeLoach leads the nation with four triples.
The Aggies are pouncing on opponents early in the game, outscoring the competition 41-4 in the first three innings, including 18-0 in the first frame.
The games will be available for streaming on the Frisco College Baseball Classis YouTube channel and Facebook Live page. Live stats will be presented on the Frisco College Baseball Classic app. All games this season will be broadcast locally on SportsRadio 1150/102.7 The Zone.
