ATHENS, Georgia – Mitchell Kilkenny and Nolan Hoffman combined on a five-hit shutout Saturday afternoon to lead the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies to a 5-0 victory over the No. 24 Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field.

Kilkenny improved to 6-0 on the season with a stellar performance. He scattered three hits and four walks while striking out six in 6.2 scoreless innings. Hoffman entered the game with runners on the corners and two outs in the seventh and induced an inning-ending fly out. He worked 2.1, allowing two hits while striking out three.

Zach DeLoach and Cole Bedford pounded out two hits apiece for the Aggies. Hunter Coleman drove in three runs and a day after his 20-game hit streak was snapped, Michael Helman went 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs and one sac fly.

Texas A&M improved to 21-8 overall and 3-6 in the SEC. The loss dropped Georgia to 21-7 overall and 7-2 in league action.

SCORING SUMMARY
T1 | DeLoach started the frame by beating out a chopper to first base for an infield single and moving to second on a wild pitch. Helman followed with a walk and Braden Shewmake singled to letfield to fill the bags with Ags. Coleman plated DeLoach with a sacrifice fly and Helman scored when Logan Foster hit a ball deep in the hole at short for an infield single. A&M 2, UGA 0.

T5 | With one out, Helman drew a walk and Shewmake was hit by a pitch. A double steal put both runners in scoring position and Coleman knocked them both in with a single to centerfield. A&M 4, UGA 0.

T6 | With one out, Allonte Wingate punched a pinch-hit single to centerfield and moved to third on a double by DeLoach. Helman knocked in Wingate with a sacrifice fly. A&M 5, UGA 0.

The Aggies return to action Tuesday when they host the Houston Cougars in a 6:32 p.m. contest on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
