KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – No. 14 Texas A&M looks to extend its seven-game win streak as the Aggies embark on a three-game road series against the Tennessee Volunteers beginning Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Every game of the series is available for viewing on SEC Network +. SEC Network + provides digital-only events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). The current win streak began when Michael Helman was moved to the leadoff spot and Logan Foster, who is hitting .458 over span, was slotted in the No. 2 spot for the second game of the LSU series.
Texas A&M is ranked in the top 25 in the nation in triples (7th - 15), ERA (7th - 2.82), WHIP (9th - 1.19), walks allowed per nine innings (17th - 3.04), hits (23rd - 376), K-to-BB ratio (25th - 2.75).
The Aggie offense is pouncing early in 2018, scoring first in 26 of the 37 games on the season and scoring in the first inning in 18 games. Texas A&M is outscoring opponents 40-5 in the first inning, 72-13 in the first two frames and 101-28 in the first three innings.
Helman ranks 15th the nation in hits (58) and 23rd in runs (40) and Zach DeLoach ranks 10th in triples (5).
Mitchell Kilkenny is one of two pitchers, along with East Carolina's Chris Holba, to enter the weekend with an 8-0 record.
