SERIES PREVIEW: South Carolina

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies wrap up the 2018 regular-season schedule with a three-game series against the South Carolina Gamecocks, starting Thursday evening.
Series atmosphere highlights include Jimbo Fisher throwing out Thursday's ceremonial first pitch and Senior Day festivities on Saturday.
The series finale will air nationally on the SEC Network with Mike Couzens (play-by-play) and Chris Burke (color) on the call. The entire series will be available for streaming on SEC Network+ with Will Johnson (play-by-play) and Mark Johnson (color) on the call for the action Thursday and Friday. SEC Network + provides digital-only events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). All games this season will be broadcast locally on SportsRadio 1150/102.7 The Zone.
The Maroon & White enter the series ranked 20th in the nation in ERA (3.33) and WHIP (1.25), 22nd in triples (17) and 25th in hits (519).
Michael Helman leads the Aggie offense with a .361 batting average and .451 on-base percentage. Helman ranks 39th in the nation in hits (75) and 63rd in runs (51).
Nolan Hoffman continues to climb the Aggies' single-season saves chart with his 11, ranking third on the list. He is three saves shy of the A&M single-season record set by Jason Jester (14) in 2013. Hoffman ranks 22nd in the nation in saves (11) and 23rd in pitching appearances (28). ranks 28th in the nation in pitching appearances (27) and 29th in saves (10).
