The Texas A&M football team ended two-a-day drills on Friday with a controlled scrimmage.
"We had the opportunity to run through our gameday situations," Head Coach R.C. Slocum said. "I have been pleased with the effort during two-a-day's. The players reported in good shape and really worked hard. We're not the finished product, but we're heading in the right direction."
Junior running back Eric Bernard, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, underwent ACL surgery on his right knee Thursday and was released from the hospital Friday.
Other members of the team not participating in the Friday scrimmage were: Sirr Parker (shoulder), Delvin Wright (strained groin), Shun Horn (ankle) and Matt Mahone (broken hand).
Offensive lineman Chris Valletta was cleared to practice today. He broke a bone in his foot earlier in the summer.
