Texas A&M Head Football Coach R.C. Slocum put the Aggies through a two-hour workout in full pads on Monday on the artificial turf practice field.
Running back Sirr Parker (shoulder) was held out of contact drills. Cornerback Shun Horn (ankle) and tight end Matt Mahone (broken hand) were held out of drills entirely.
After practice, the team attended All-University Night at Kyle Field. All-University Night is the first "official" yell practice of the fall with approximately 20,000 Aggie fans in attendance along with the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, the yell leaders and Reveille VI.
The Aggies open the 1997 season Saturday, Sept. 6 against Sam Houston State (0-1) with a 4 p.m. kickoff set for Kyle Field.
