The Texas A&M football team went through Thursday's workout in shorts and shoulder pads.
Running back Sirr Parker (shoulder) was held out of contact drills. Reserve tight end RoDerrick Broughton (ankle) did not participate in drills. Reserve tight end Matt Mahone (broken hand) returned to practice.
The Aggies open the 1997 season against Sam Houston State on Saturday, Sept. 6 with a 4 p.m. kickoff at Kyle Field.
