* Sophomore quarterback Branndon Stewart completed 6 of 11 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns, his third career multiple TD game. Last year, he threw for two touchdowns against BYU and North Texas. Stewart accounted for a career-high four total TDs today, including a pair of one-yard scoring plunges. Last year, he had two rushing TDs all season.

Sophomore Chris Cole posted his first career touchdown reception in the first quarter on a 41-yard toss from Stewart. Two weeks ago against Sam Houston State, Cole recorded his first career reception, a 28-yarder.

A&M?s 45 first-half points were the most points scored by the Aggies in a half in the modern era of A&M football (since 1950). The A&M record book is sketchy prior to 1950. The last time A&M scored more than 45 points in a half may have been the 1920 game against Daniel Baker, won by the Aggies, 110-0. A&M defeated Dallas University, 98-0, in 1917.

Prior to A&M?s fumble in the first half, the Aggies had scored on 12 straight possessions this season.

* Branndon Stewart?s interception in the third quarter was his first since last year?s Kansas State game. He had thrown 105 straight passes without an interception.

Sophomore defensive back Sedrick Curry posted his second interception of the season in the third quarter. It was also the second of his career.

Junior tight end Daniel Campbell scored his first career touchdown on a 5-yard pass in the fourth quarter from Randy McCown, who completed his first career touchdown pass.

Today?s attendance was 61,081, the largest crowd to see a non-conference game at Kyle Field since 72,577 attended the 1994 Oklahoma game prior to the formation of the Big 12.

Sophomore walk-on Thadd Hargett saw his first career action at quarterback in the fourth quarter and promptly completed his first career pass attemp. Hargett saw action as a receiver for a couple of plays last year against Louisiana Tech. Hargett is the son of former A&M quarterback Edd Hargett, who led the Aggies to the 1967 SWC title and a Cotton Bowl victory against Paul ?Bear? Bryant?s Alabama team which was quarterbacked by Ken Stabler. Thadd Hargett?s uncle, George Hargett, played football and baseball at A&M from 1961-63 and a cousin, Kyle Hargett, played football at A&M in the mid-1980s.

Today?s 66-point margin of victory was A&M?s largest since a 73-0 victory against Missouri in 1993. It ranks as the ninth largest margin of victory in school history. Only twice since 1928 has A&M won a game by 65 or more points and both were in the Slocum Era -- today and the 1993 Missouri game.

Sophomore linebacker Sean Coryatt posted his first career fumble recovery in the fourth quarter and returned it 19 yards for his first career touchdown.

In two games this season, A&M has out-scored its opponents by a whopping 125-6. The Aggies have not allowed a touchdown this season.

A&M?s 125 points in the last two games is the most ever scored by A&M in consecutive games. The previous two-game record was 113 points in the first two games of 1920, which included a 110-0 rout of Daniel Baker and a 3-0 win against SMU.

A&M coach R.C. Slocum is now 20-0 in non-conference home games in nine years as head coach. With 76 career wins, Slocum is chasing Homer Norton (1934-47) to become the winningest coach in A&M history. Norton won 82 games.
