The No. 17-ranked Texas A&M football team's two-hour, full pads workout on Wednesday was highlighted by the return of the Aggies' all-conference offensive guard Steve McKinney, who was held out of practice on Monday and Tuesday with a sprained foot.

McKinney, a senior from League City, has started 24 consecutive games for the Aggies at offensive guard and is the leader of an A&M offensive front that boasts a combined 102 games of starting experience (20.2 per man).

There were no new injuries.

The Aggies are preparing for Saturday's Big 12 Conference showdown with Colorado in Boulder. The Aggies and Buffaloes will face off at 2:30 p.m. (CST) in the ABC regionally televised contest. It is the Big 12 opener for both teams.

Aggie Notes - With 225 yards of all-purpose yardage against North Texas last week, Aggie sophomore Dante Hall broke the 2,000-yard barrier in only 15 games, which is faster than any player in school history. Leeland McElroy, the Aggies' explosive running back, return man from 1993-95, hit the 2,000 all-purpose yards mark in 16 games.
