The Texas A&M men's golf team is ranked No. 34 in the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings released Wednesday.
Arkansas is ranked No. 1, followed by No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 3 Arizona, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Texas-El Paso.
Oklahoma State is the highest-ranked Big 12 Conference team, followed by Oklahoma at No. 15, Texas A&M at No. 34, Nebraska at No. 37 and Kansas at No. 40.
The Aggies are ranked No. 4 in the NCAA's District 6 behind Arkansas, Houston and TCU. Texas is ranked No. 5 in the district.
In the individual rankings, A&M junior Ty Cox (Amarillo, Texas) is ranked No. 45 and senior Miguel del Angel (McAllen, Texas) is ranked No. 64. Oklahoma State's Edward Loar is ranked No. 1. Cox is ranked No. 7 among Big 12 Conference players while del Angel is No. 11.
In NCAA District 6, Cox is ranked No. 5 and del Angel is No. 7. Arkansas Jon Whitaker is ranked No. 1.
The Aggies close their fall season Nov. 14-16 at the Golf World Palmetto Dunes Classic in Hilton Head, S.C.
