Junior DB/WR R.W. McQuarters' 62-yard pass reception from freshman QB Tony Lindsay on OSU's first play was the Cowboys' longest play of the season. McQuarters already owns OSU's longest scoring plays by pass reception (58), rush (56) and punt return (78).
Sophomore TB Nathan Simmons' first-quarter touchdown was his fifth this season and in his career.
Junior FB Brian Aikins' first-quarter touchdown was his third this season and the sixth of his career. His 18-yard rush three plays before the score was his longest rush this season.
Lindsay's third-quarter rushing touchdown was his team-high ninth of the season. He has accounted for 16 TDs this season.
Sophomore PK Tim Sydnes' fourth-quarter and first-overtime field goals give him nine straight successful attempt under 50 yards. He had made seven straight overall until missing two plus-50 attempts in last week's game against Missouri.
Redshirt freshman TB Jamaal Fobbs gained 101 yards tonight, passing the century mark for the second time. He now has gained 650 yards on the ground this season, already third all-time among OSU freshmen. He trails Andre Richardson (774 yards in 1994) and Thurman Thomas (688 in 1984).
The Cowboys have gained over 300 yards total offense in 14 straight games and over 400 in four of the past six.
Lindsay has averaged 77.2 yards rushing and 127.8 yards passing in the Cowboys' five conference games. He averaged 19 yards rushing and 66 passing in the three non-conference games. He has passed for at least 100 yards in three straight games and rushed for at least 70 in three of the last four.
The Cowboys' four quarterback sacks tie a season high (Southwestern Louisiana and Fresno State) and give OSU 20 this season.
Tonight's game is OSU's second consecutive overtime game and the Cowboys' fourth since the rule was put in before last season. Previously, the Cowboys had defeated Southwest Missouri State 23-20 in the first OT in last year's season opener, and OSU has lost twice in overtime to Missouri, 35-28 in one OT last season and 51-50 in two extra periods last week.
