Thunderstorms and lightning forced the Texas A&M football team indoors Wednesday to the Student Recreation Center for the evening practice.
"We had some thunderstorms come through this afternoon that contained lightning, so we elected to go indoors at the Rec Center," head coach R.C. Slocum said. "All in all, I thought we got some good work done in preparation for the first full pads workout tomorrow morning."
No new injuries were reported from the evening workout. The Aggies spent the morning in strength training and in a "walk-through" type workout. Thursday morning will mark the first practice for the Aggies in full pads.
The Aggies continue two-a-day workouts on Thursday in preparation for the season opener on Aug. 31 when the No. 15-ranked Aggies face the No. 2-ranked Florida State Seminoles in the Kickoff Classic at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J.
