The Texas A&M football team continued two-a-day workouts Monday at the Simpson Drill field for the morning workout and at the new grass practice fields for the evening workout.

Both workouts for the Aggies were conducted in full pads.

Senior tight end Derrick Spiller returned for the evening practice after missing a few workouts due to a thigh bruise. Among those missing one or both workouts for the Aggies were Jason Bragg, Jason Glenn, Sedrick Curry, Mike Kazmierski, Joel Bryan, and Dante Hall.

"We're not really concerned that much," head coach R.C. Slocum said. "They are missing some work, but it's for precautionary reasons."

Those listed as day to day are Bragg, who is suffering a sore back; Glenn, who has a mild hamstring strain; Bryan, who suffered a mild concussion; and Hall, who also has a sore back.

Aggies who might miss more than a couple of workouts are Curry, who had an orthoscopic examination performed on his knee Monday, and Kazmierski, who has a sore shoulder. They are slated to return soon.

The Aggies continue two-a-day workouts on Saturday in preparation for the season opener on Aug. 31 when the No. 14-ranked Aggies face the No. 2-ranked Florida State Seminoles in the Kickoff Classic at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J.

All practices remain closed to the public.
