Texas A&M Punter Shane Lechler was named the Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Texas Tech.
Lechler, a junior from East Bernard, had a long punt of 54 yards and averaged 42.3 yards on six punts. He took the snap on the first field goal attempt and rolled right throwing an eight-yard touchdown pass to Dan Campbell.
Lechler is currently 6th in the country with a 45.22 punt average.
