Senior Ryan Palmer fired a final-round 72 Tuesday to finish tied for eighth at the Windon Memorial Classic at North Shore Country Club.

Palmer's two-round total of 71-72=143 was seven strokes behind tournament champion Adam Dooley of Minnesota, who carded 69-67=136.

The Aggies finished 12th in the team standings with rounds of 303-309=612. Minnesota won the team title at 290-287=577. Other Big 12 Conference schools competing were Texas (third place at 584) and Oklahoma (tied for seventh at 593). The tournament was shortened to 36 holes after Monday's morning round was canceled because of heavy rain.

Other A&M individual scores were junior Lee Reed tied for 46th at 78-78=156, sophomore Casey Cronin tied for 46th at 77-79=156, sophomore Ryan Tull 57th at 77-83=160 and senior Matt Welch tied for 58th at 84-80=164.

The Aggies begin play Monday in the Taylor Made Red River Classic at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas.
