Texas A&M's senior linebacker Dat Nguyen (pronounced DAT WIN) has always been in top form when the Aggies face Top 25-ranked opponents.

During his career, the 5-foot-11, 230-pound Nguyen has averaged 12.1 tackles against ranked teams, which is nearly two tackles above his norm. Of his 25 career double-digit tackle games, seven have come against Top 25 opponents, including his career-high of 20 stops which he posted against No. 5 UCLA and No. 20 Kansas State in 1997.

Nguyen, a consensus preseason All-American, is a semifinalist for both the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Trophy. Nguyen is already Texas A&M's all-time leading tackler with 461 career stops, and is on pace to become the first player in school history to lead the Aggies in tackles for four consecutive seasons.

Nguyen will be looking to increase his school record tackle total on Saturday when the No. 7-ranked Aggies host Big 12 Conference foe Oklahoma at Kyle Field. The game, which will be televised nationally by FX, is slated to kickoff at 6 p.m. central.
