Dat Nguyen Named Butkus Finalist

Texas A&M senior linebacker Dat Nguyen was named one of three finalist for the annual Dick Butkus Award Thursday honoring the nation's top linebacker.
Nguyen has recorded 101 total tackles as a senior and averages 10.1 tackles a game. Nguyen is the Aggies all-time leading tackler.
Other finalists announced were Southern California's Chirs Claiborne and Florida's Jevon Kearse. Claiborne has recorded 88 tackles this season and averages 8.8 per game, while Kearse has compiled 46 tackles for a 5.1 average.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on December 11 at Universal Studios-Florida in Orlando. The award is selected by 27 national media members.
