Texas A&M recruit Choo Freeman has signed a professional baseball contract with the Colorado Rockies and will forgo his collegiate athletic career.

According to published reports, he signed a $1.4 million bonus with the club.

Freeman was the 36th player selected in the major league draft.

Freeman signed a football letter of intent in February with Texas A&M.
