Texas A&M junior guard Clifton Cook of Dayton, Ohio, has been named to College Hoops Insider's 1998-99 All-Junior College Transfer Team.
Cook, a transfer from Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, leads the Aggies in scoring (15.4), assists (5.8) and steals (2.6) and is second in rebounding. He ranks second in the Big 12 Conference in assists and steals and is ranked No. 19 nationally in assists. Cook has been named Big 12 Rookie of the Week a record-tying four times this season.
Other members of C.H.I.'s All-JUCO transfer team are Auburn's Chris Porter, Cincinnati's Pete Mickeal, UNLV's Shawn Marion, Maryland's Steve Francis, Houston's Gee Gervin, TCU's Maquis Gainous, Miami's Kevin Houston, Tulsa's Brandon Kurtz, Weber State's Harold Arceneaux, St. Joseph's Andre Howard, Louisiana Tech's Craig Jackson, Saint Louis's Justin Love, Long Beach State's Charles O'Neal and Idaho State's Kevin Sweetwyne.
