The Texas A&M men's golf team closed its season Sunday with a tie for 13th place at The Maxwell by Pontiac at Dornick Hills Country Club.

Senior Ryan Palmer, who will compete in the NCAA Central Regional as an individual Thursday through Saturday in Columbus, Ohio, posted his sixth straight top 20 finish and solidified his claim to All-America honors, tying for 14th with rounds of 73-71-74=218.

As a team, the Aggies carded rounds of 300-301-304=905, tying Southwestern Louisiana for 13th place and finishing eight strokes ahead of SMU. Houston won the team title with a 284-293-287=864 total, seven strokes ahead of runner-up Florida. The Cougars' Andy Sanders captured the individual crown by five strokes with rounds of 71-68-68=207 on the par-72, 6,442-yard layout.

In addition to Palmer, other A&M scores were junior Lee Reed, tied for 39th at 70-76-79=225; freshman Sean Gilliland, tied for 53rd at 79-77-72=228; sophomore Clay Fullick, 74th at 78-81-79=238; and sophomore Casey Cronin, 75th at 83-77-79=239.
