Junior Texas A&M linebacker Roylin Bradley headlines the 1999 Preseason All-Texas College Football Team as the Defensive Player of the Year as selected by Dave Campbell's Texas Football. The Aggies have the most first-team selections on the squad.
Bradley, a junior from La Marque, Texas, led the Aggies with nine quarterback sacks last year. Bradley was the fifth leading tackler for A&M with 81 tackles last season, including 59 solo stops and 15 total tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
Joining Bradley on the All-Texas College defensive team are fellow linebacker Cornelius Anthony, defensive lineman Ron Edwards, defensive back Jason Webster, and punter Shane Lechler.
Offensively, the Aggies placed three players on the first-team including running back Dante Hall, and offensive linemen Semisi Heimuli and Seth McKinney.
Aggie quarterback Randy McCown and defensive back Brandon Jennings were named to the squad's second-team.
Texas Football also released a preseason top 25 as picked by ESPN college football analyist Ron Franklin. The Aggies are picked No. 13 behind only Nebraska (No. 11) in the Big 12. Other Big 12 schools in the rankings are Texas (No. 18) and Texas Tech (No. 22).
