Texas A&M's evening football workout was interrupted when a dread-locked Rastafarian on a hot rod roared onto the Aggies' grass practice fields on Thursday.

Closer inspection, however, revealed that the Rasta was actually 54-year old Aggie head coach R.C. Slocum with fake dreads at the wheel of a vintage 1923 Ford T-Bucket (327 cubic inch engine capable of 450 horsepower).

Slocum, who received driving tips from Associate Athletic Director for Facilities Billy Pickard, tooled around the practice fields for several minutes before pausing to enjoy some hot tunes from a boom box with his team.

"We've been working hard out here in the heat for two weeks, and I wanted to break up the monotony of two-a-days a little bit," Slocum said. "I think I threw them a curve today. We had a lot of fun with this."

Injury Report -- There were no new injuries on Thursday. Returning to practice were senior running back Eric Bernard and freshman linebacker Jarrod Penright. Missing Thursday's practice because of previously sustained injuries were: Michael Jennings, Matt Bumgardner, Chris Thierry, Tashumbrae Brown, Andre Brooks, Jared Morris and Bethel Johnson.
