The Texas A&M women's golf team is ranked No. 21 and the men's team is ranked No.23 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings released on Wednesday. Both teams were previously unranked.
The women have started the year with sixth-place finishes at the Big 12 Preview and the Jones Intercable/Dick McGuire Invitational. The men finished third in their season opener at the Big "E" SMU Stonebridge Shootout.
Sophomore Anna Jonsson, with two top 10 finishes, is ranked No. 29 in the women's individual rankings, while freshman Matt Lindholm is ranked No. 74 in the men's individual rankings.
The men return to action on Monday at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill., while the women's next competition will be at the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Oct. 11-12 in Lubbock.
