The Texas A&M men's golf team will compete in the first Pepperdine/STRATA Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at the Saticoy Country Club.
The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. Saticoy Country Club measures 6,900 yards and is a par 72 layout.
In addition to A&M, the 12-team field consists of No. 23-ranked Oregon State, Colorado State, Hawaii-Hilo, Minnesota, Oregon, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Jose State, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Vanderbilt.
Representing A&M will be sophomore Sean Gilliland, senior Ty Cox, junior Casey Cronin, junior Matt Loving and freshman Matt Lindholm.
"We've had a good week of qualifying and I think we're showing improvement," A&M coach Bob Ellis said. "We are starting to gain a little confidence, but we've got to put it together and play a complete tournament."
