The Texas A&M men's golf team has a three-stroke lead going into today's final round of the Pepperdine/STRATA Intercollegiate at Saticoy Country Club.
The Aggies took the first-round lead after posting a 290 on Monday morning, then followed with a 295 in the afternoon round for a 585 total, three shots ahead of Pepperdine's 588.
A&M sophomore Sean Gilliland is tied for the individual lead with rounds of 69-73=142, two-under-par on the par-72, 6,858-yard layout. San Diego State's Scott Piercy (74-68=142) and Vanderbilt's John Pitt (74-68=142) are tied with Gilliland.
Also for A&M, freshman Matt Lindholm is tied for fifth at 71-74=145, junior Casey Cronin is tied for 19th at 79-71=150 and senior Ty Cox is tied for 23rd at 71-80=151.
