The 51 points by the Sooners were the most since Nebraska beat A&M, 54-15, in the 1997 Big 12 Championship game.

The 45-point margin of victory by the Sooners marked the third-worst defeat in school history. It was the worst loss since 1901 when Baylor whacked the Aggies 46-0.

The 550 yards gained by Oklahoma was the most allowed by the Aggie defense since Texas gained 594 in 1996's 51-15 loss in Austin.

Senior cornerback Sedrick Curry's second-quarter interception was the Aggies' 13th of the season. A&M has grabbed interceptions in six of seven games this season.

Junior placekicker Terence Kitchens had his first-quarter field goal try blocked, marking the third straight game he's had one blocked. He's had five field goals tries blocked this season. In fact, Kitchens' season FG totals are 15-of-21 with five of his six "misses" actually being blocks.

Kitchens also handled the kickoff duties for the first time this season. Punter Shane Lechler usually handles the kickoff chores.

Senior reserve safety Jeremy Wiesinger suffered a "stinger" during pre-game warm-ups and did not play.

Serving as 12th Man Kickoff Team representative against Oklahoma was Luke Anderson, a sophomore from Mt. Pleasant High School.

Game captains for the Aggies were: Oklahoma natives Tango McCauley (Oklahoma City) and Eric Bernard (Tulsa), along with Shane Lechler and Ron Edwards.

Senior quarterback Randy McCown --

"Oklahoma played one heckuva a game -- offensively and defensively. Every time we tried to get back into it, they would convert a fake field goal or punt. They played a great game.

Junior linebacker Jason Glenn --

"We just didn't execute. We came out mentally ready to play, but we didn't execute our game plan. We gave the quarterback all kinds of time to make plays and he made them."
