Texas A&M's Bernard King has been named national Freshman of the Week by ESPN.Com after his performance in the Aggies' stirring 64-59 upset of No. 12-ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday at Reed Arena.

King, a 6-3 guard, scored 17 points, including a pair of free throws with nine seconds left, to lead the Aggies to the victory against the Cowboys, their first against a ranked team in almost 13 years.

King leads the Aggies in scoring this season with a 16.3 average, sixth nationally among freshmen.
