The Texas A&M men's golf team will compete in the Cleveland Golf/Morris Williams Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at Austin Country Club.
The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. Play will begin at 8 a.m. (CST) each day on the 6,906-yard, par 72 layout.
Joining No. 39-ranked A&M in the 15-team field is No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 4 BYU, No. 8 Houston, , No. 9 UNLV, No. 12 Fresno State, No. 13 South Carolina, No. 14 Arizona, No. 16 New Mexico, No. 18 Southern California, No. 19 Texas, No. 30 Oklahoma, No. 33 TCU, Pepperdine and SMU.
Representing A&M will be freshman Dwayne Morley (Houston/Stratford HS), sophomore Sean Gilliland (Killeen, Texas/Harker Heights HS)), sophomore Josh McCoy (Perryton, Texas/Perryton HS), junior Casey Cronin (Rockwall, Texas/Rockwall HS) and senior Ty Cox (Amarillo, Texas/Amarillo HS).
The Aggies are coming off a third-place finish last Tuesday at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La. Morley finished fourth in the individual standings, just four strokes behind the winner. Gilliland leads the Aggies with a 73.95 stroke average.
