The Texas A&M football team donned full pads for the first time this spring and worked out for two hours Wednesday evening on the grass practice fields.
"Things always seem to pick up when you get the pads on for the first time," 12th year head coach R.C. Slocum said. "I thought we bounced around pretty good out there today, and I saw a lot of good things. I was pleased with the enthusiasm and thought the concentration level was high."
Missing the workout due to injury was junior running back Ja'Mar Toombs (strained hamstring) and junior outside linebacker Christian Rodriguez (strained knee). Junior defensive lineman Evan Perroni left practice early to receive a stitch to a cut on his nose.
