The Texas A&M volleyball team opens its spring exhibition schedule Saturday at the Southwest Texas Spring Invitational in San Marcos. The Aggies are slated to play four games in the one-day tournament, starting with a 10 a.m. match against Sam Houston State. The Aggies play Southwest Texas at 11 a.m. and Texas-San Antonio at 2:30 p.m. They conclude the tournament against St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m.
All matches will be two games to fifteen and will be played on Court One at Strahan Coliseum on the Southwest Texas campus.
The 1999 season was the most successful in A&M history as the Aggies advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies finished with a record of 28-6 and ranked an all-time high ninth in the final national coaches poll.
