The Texas A&M football team drilled for two hours in full pads Monday evening at A&M's grass practice fields.
"I think our spring camp has gone well, but we've had a lot of injuries," Aggie coach R.C. Slocum said. "But the injuries go hand in hand with how condensed spring football has become. You have a lot of going against your own guys, and they end up beating each other up."
Tuesday's workout will be the final scrimmage of spring camp for the Aggies, and the injuries impacted the traditional format of the final scrimmage. Typically, captains for the Maroon and White teams "draft" players for the game, but injuries have forced a regular scrimmage format.
"We'll use the same scrimmage format as last Saturday," Slocum said. "We simply don't have enough players to put together two separate teams.
