In addition to the four Texas A&M football players who were drafted this weekend by the NFL, six more Aggies have signed free agent contracts with NFL clubs.
Wide receiver Matt Bumgardner signed with the New England Patriots, cornerback Sedrick Curry signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, offensive lineman Semisi Heimuli signed with the New York Jets, defensive back Brandon Jennings signed with the Oakland Raiders and wide receiver Leroy Hodge and offensive lineman Andy Vincent both signed with the Detroit Lions.
"I am happy that several of our players have gotten a chance to play in the NFL," Aggie Head Coach R.C. Slocum said. "This is a great opportunity for these young men and a credit to their hard work and dedication."
