Rand Arbuckle of College Station and Tyler Garrett of Houston have signed national letters-on-intent to play college golf at Texas A&M, Aggies coach Bob Ellis said Thursday.
Arbuckle has won three high school tournaments at A&M Consolidated High School and has finished in the top 20 in all but one American Junior Golf Association event. Garrett also has extensive AJGA experience and finished fourth at the Western Junior Championship last summer.
"Rand and Tyler will be great additions to the Texas A&M golf program," said Ellis, who is retiring after this season, his 27th at A&M. "They should each make an immediate impact on a team that is already loaded with many talented young players."
