The Texas A&M men's golf team will close its fall schedule at the third annual Henry Griffitts Baylor Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Ridgewood Country Club.

The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and a final 18 holes on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. Play begins at 8 a.m. each day on the par-70, 6,419-yard layout.

In addition to A&M, the 17-team field includes Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Iowa State, Lamar, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southwest Texas State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Tech, Toledo and Wichita State.

Representing A&M will be senior Matt Loving, junior Clay Fullick, freshman Duke Butler, Freshman Stephen Reed and junior Josh McCoy. Senior Casey Cronin will compete as an individual.

"This is a very important tournament for us because of our position in the district," A&M coach Bob Ellis said. "We've kind of dug ourselves in a hole. A lot of district teams will be in this tournament and we need to beat those teams to advance to regionals in May."
