The Texas A&M football team returned to the practice field on Wednesday to prepare for the Sanford Independence Bowl against Mississippi State.

Due to the icy conditions earlier Wednesday in College Station, the final exam schedule was rearranged and a few players missed practice to take finals.

The team was able to workout on the grass practice fields in full pads for two hours.

Joining the squad was All-Big 12 wide receiver Robert Ferguson. Ferguson missed the final regular-season game against Texas with a sprained ankle. The training staff called his activity limited on Wednesday.

The Aggies will continue to workout every day except Sunday (Dec. 17) before breaking for Christmas after the workout on Thursday, Dec. 21. The team is scheduled to meet in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Tuesday, Dec. 26.

Kickoff for the Sanford Independence Bowl is Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. in Shreveport, Louisiana.
