
Aggies Open Spring Season in Hawai'i

The Texas A&M men's golf team opens its spring season at the 10th Annual Taylor Made/Waikaloa Intercollegiate Thursday through Saturday. The tournament features 10 teams ranked in the top 30 in the latest GolfWeek Rankings.
The tournament will be played at the Waikaloa Resort's 6,566-yard, par-70 Beach Course, and the 6,594-yard, par-72 Kings' Course. Play begins at 6:45 a.m. each day.
In addition to A&M, the 24-team field includes No. 1-ranked Georgia Tech, No. 8 Arizona State, No. 12 Stanford, No. 14 Washington, No. 15 Southern California, No. 18 Arizona, No. 24 UCLA, No. 27 Texas, No. 28 Oregon State, No. 30 San Diego State, Arkansas, Fresno State, Nagoya, Nihon, Pepperdine, TCU, San Francisco, UC-Santa Barbara, Hawaii-Hilo, Hawaii, Nevada-Reno, Oregon and Texas-El Paso.
Representing A&M will be senior Ty Cox (Amarillo, Texas), junior Casey Cronin (Rockwall, Texas), sophomore Sean Gilliland (Killeen, Texas), sophomore Josh McCoy (Perryton, Texas) and freshman Dwayne Morley (Houston, Texas).
"This is an awesome tournament and a tremendous way to start the spring season," A&M coach Bob Ellis said. "A good performance against this caliber of competition would be a big step forward for us."
