The Texas A&M football team continued its 2001 Spring Drills with a spirited two-hour practice in shorts and helmets Tuesday at the grass practice fields.
Head Coach R.C. Slocum came away from the workout impressed with his quarterbacks and receivers.
"I thought the quarterbacks were doing an excellent job of throwing the deep ball, and the receivers did a good job of adjusting to the ball," Slocum said. "There's an old coaching saying that 'you get what you coach.' We're making a point of working hard on throwing and catching the deep ball because that's an area we want to improve."
The Aggies will hit the practice field again on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. All of the spring practices are open to the public, but fans are asked to stay behind the yellow line surrounding the field for safety reasons.
