The Texas A&M men's golf team struggled to a final-round 304 on Tuesday and finished tied for 11th at the rain-shortened Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club.

Tennessee won the team title with rounds of 279-293=572, four-under-par on the par 72, 7,002-yard layout. SMU was second at 576, followed by Mississippi (578), Louisiana-Lafayette (579), Colorado (582), Kansas (585), Tulsa (588), Arkansas (591), Baylor (591), Sam Houston State (594), A&M (296-304=600), North Texas (600), Missouri (602), New Mexico State (614) and Nebraska (622).

Mississippi's Troy Muller won the individual title with a five-under-par total of 68-71=139, two strokes ahead of Baylor's Jimmy Walker (141), Louisiana-Lafayette's Burke Spensky (141) and Tennessee's Jason Powell (141).

Freshman Duke Butler led the Aggies, tying for 20th place with rounds of 71-75=146. Freshman Stephen Reed tied for 35th at 73-76=149, sophomore Dwayne Morley tied for 46th at 75-76=151, and sophomore Matt Lindholm (77-78=155) and junior Josh McCoy (78-77=155) tied for 66th.

The Aggies return to action March 26-27 at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at Austin Country Club.
