The Texas A&M football team continued its spring drills for two hours Wednesday at the grass practice facility on campus.
After a rusty workout on Tuesday, head coach R.C. Slocum thought Wednesday's practice was more to his liking.
"I thought we had better tempo and showed better effort today," Slocum said.
Defensive end Ty Warren split time between his normal end spot and the nose guard position.
"We just want to get the best use of his talent," Slocum said. "He made some plays for us there and with his big, active, play, he can fill the hole."
Rocky Bernard, who missed last season after a knee injury, is seeing limited practice time at nose guard while he continues to rehabilitate his knee.
The Aggies will hit the practice field again on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday's workout will be a controlled scrimmage at 1 p.m. at Kyle Field.
All of the spring practices and scrimmages are open to the public, but fans are asked to stay behind the yellow line surrounding the practice field for safety reasons.
A Maroon & White Game is slated for Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at Kyle Field.
