With more than 200 high school coaches on campus for a coaching clinic, the Texas A&M football team will conduct a controlled scrimmage at Kyle Field at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The public is invited and admission is free, but fans are asked to remain in the Kyle Field stands at all times.
"I just got finished telling the team that I'm looking for effort," said head coach R.C. Slocum. "I don't expect them to know all their assignments, but I'm looking for guys who compete when it's game time."
Slocum said the Aggies would scrimmage with "ones vs. ones and twos vs. twos."
OL Reuber Likely to Miss Remainder of Spring
COLLEGE STATION --- Texas A&M sophomore offensive tackle Alan Reuber (from Plano High School) will likely miss the remainder of Spring Drills after incurring a "high" sprain of his left ankle during Wednesday's workout, head coach R.C. Slocum announced after the Aggies' two-hour practice on Friday.
"He has a high ankle sprain and will likely miss the rest of the spring," Slocum said. "It's extremely sad for him. He has had some hard luck with injuries, and that's kept him off the field."
Reuber, slated to be one of the first tackles off the bench next fall, missed most of last year's Spring Drills and part of the regular season schedule after breaking a leg during the spring.
