Despite very wet conditions, the Texas A&M football team worked for more than two hours on the grass practice fields on Wednesday.
"We got a lot of work done today despite the rain we've had the past two days," Aggie Head Coach R.C. Slocum said. "The fields are in great shape. Leo Goertz and his crew do an unbelievable job with our fields. They are unsung heroes. Today was a great example, we got everything in we wanted to. We missed yesterday and we did not want to miss two days in a row."
The team ended practice with an emphasis on the red zone.
"I was pleased with our defensive effort," Slocum said. "I thought Ty Warren had an excellent practice. I had him call the team up at the end of practice."
"I was disappointed in our effectiveness on offense inside the 20," Slocum explained. "We've got to get improvement in that area, and that means working to get better."
The Aggies will workout at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the grass practice fields.
The Maroon & White Game is slated for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Kyle Field. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for high school age and under. Texas A&M students will be admitted with their football or all-sports pass. The proceeds go to the Texas A&M Athletics Capital Campaign. Tickets can be purchased from the athletic ticket office in the lobby of G. Rollie White Coliseum. On Saturday, the ticket windows and gates at Kyle Field will open at 11 a.m.
