The Texas A&M volleyball team continues its spring exhibition schedule with two matches to be played Saturday at the Nebraska Coliseum in Lincoln, Neb.
The Aggies are slated to meet the defending national and Big 12 champion Nebraska Cornhuskers at 11 a.m. and then face former A&M All-American middle blocker Amber Woolsey and the United States Professional Volleyball team (USPV) at 3 p.m. The tournament concludes with Nebraska playing USPV at 6 p.m.
Matches are best three-out-of-five games using rally scoring. The first four games are to 30 points, and the fifth game is played to 15 points.
The Aggies return four starters from last year's team that went 20-9 overall and was No. 23 in the final national rankings after advancing to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Last weekend, the Aggies defeated Texas, 30-21, 30-26, in the opening match of the Texas Tournament and then split with Southwest Texas State, 27-30, 30-21. A&M ended the day by sweeping Rice, 30-22, 30-20, to remain undefeated and improve is record to 5-0-2 in the spring exhibition season.
The Aggies conclude their spring exhibition schedule Thursday, April 19, at home against TCU, the University of Houston and a Houston professional team. Action gets underway at 4 p.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum.
