The Texas A&M volleyball team dropped two matches for the first time in its spring exhibition season, falling to both Nebraska and the United States Professional team (USPV) today in Lincoln, Neb.
The Aggies, 5-2-2 in exhibition play, opened the tournament with a 30-23, 30-22, 28-30, 30-27 setback to defending national and Big 12 champion Nebraska and then fell to former A&M All-American middle blocker Amber Woolsey and the USPV team, 30-17, 30-25, 30-20.
The Aggies, who return four starters from last year's team that went 20-9 overall and was No. 23 in the final national rankings after advancing to the second round of the NCAA tournament, conclude their spring exhibition schedule Thursday, April 19, in a home tournament against TCU, the University of Houston and a Houston professional team. Action gets underway at 4 p.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum, and admission is free.
