Five members of the Texas A&M women's golf team and three members of the men's golf team have been named to the 2001 Academic All-Big 12 Golf Teams.
Junior Jennifer Cates, senior Mimi Epps, and junior Anna Jonsson were named to the women's first team while junior McKenzie Dyslin and senior Marta Ostos were named to the second team.
Junior Sean Gilliland and sophomores Matt Lindholm and Dwayne Morley were named to the men's first team.
A total of 84 student-athletes were named to the women's and men's Academic All-Big 12 Golf Teams, including 58 first-team members and 16 on the second teams. First-team members must have maintained a 3.2 or better grade-point-average, while second-teamers must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. All members must have participated in at least 60 percent of their team's scheduled tournaments.
The Big 12 Men's Golf Championships are Monday and Tuesday at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., while the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship will be Monday through Wednesday at The Harvester Golf Club in Harvester, Iowa.
