The Texas A&M men's golf team will compete in The Maxwell Saturday and Sunday at Dornick Hills Country Club, the Aggies' final tuneup for next week's NCAA Central Regional.

The Maxwell will consist of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday for a 54-hole total on the par-70, 6,442-yard layout. Play begins at 8 a.m. each day.

The NCAA Central Regional will be May 17-19 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.

In addition to A&M, the 15-team field at The Maxwell will include Arkansas, North Texas, SMU, No. 22-ranked Auburn, No. 16 Oklahoma, No. 5 Texas, Colorado, No. 13 Oklahoma State, No. 19 Houston (19), Pepperdine, Toledo, Louisiana-Lafayette, No. 6 USC, and Tulsa.

Representing the Aggies will be senior Casey Cronin, junior Josh McCoy, sophomore Dwayne Morley and freshmen Stephen Reed and Duke Butler.

"Playing well against a strong field such as this on a tough golf course would definitely help us build some confidence and momentum as we head into regionals next week," A&M coach Bob Ellis said.
