Texas A&M wide receiver Bethel Johnson returned to campus Friday afternoon after spending the night in a Laramie, Wyo., hospital for observation due to a bruised spleen suffered during the Aggies' football game against the University of Wyoming on Thursday night.

Late in the game, Johnson received a hit to his midsection. After post game evaluation in the locker room, A&M's medical staff opted to take the senior receiver to a local hospital.

A&M team physician Dr. Jesse Parr accompanied Johnson to the hospital and both flew back to College Station on Friday. The team departed on its charter shortly after the conclusion of the game.

Johnson's prognosis is unknown as he will be further evaluated by the A&M medical staff over the weekend.

Johnson, who is from Corsicana, Texas, grabbed a game-high six receptions for 50 yards in the Aggies' 28-20 win over the Cowboys. He has now garnered a reception in every regular season game he has played in.
