Senior All-America candidate Erin Lechler led the Aggies to a 28-30, 30-21, 33-31, 30-20 victory over Missouri by recording 23 kills and 29 digs at G. Rollie White Coliseum.
With the victory, the Aggies improved to 14-3 overall and 7-2 in the Big 12 Conference. Missouri, who remained winless in six visits to College Station, fell to 15-5, 6-5.
Missouri's Lisa Morris recorded 6 kills in Game 1 to pace the Tigers offensive attack, and give them a 30-28 advantage.
After being held to a .200 hitting percentage and falling, 30-28, in the opening game, the Aggies were down to the Tigers 12-13 in Game 2 before firing off nine unanswered points, capped by a Tara Pulaski kill, to go ahead 21-13. A&M never looked back as the Aggies went on to win 30-21 while hitting .320 as a team.
Game 3 saw eight lead changes before Texas A&M came from behind to win it 33-31. A kill by Naaron Branson gave Missouri a game-high six-point lead, but a stretch of big kills from Brandi Mount, Lechler and Beth Skypala tied the game at 22-22. The Aggies were up 29-28 with a chance to put away the Tigers, but Lisa Morris connected to keep Missouri alive. Another kill by Morris put the Tigers up 31-30, before Pulaski and Michelle Cole ended the game with back-to-back kills.
In Game 4 a kill by Missouri's Christi Myers gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead, but the Aggies, sparked by Brandi Mount's three kills and two service aces, would go on a 11-3 run to make it 14-7. A&M mounted a match-high 11-point lead with a huge kill by A.D. Achilefu followed by a Tiger hitting error, to make it 27-16. The Aggies would hold on to win 30-20.
Senior All-America candidate Jenna Moscovic came within one kill of recording her fifth triple-double this season. She finished the match with 64 assists, 11 digs and 9 kills.
Five Aggies reached double digits in digs (Lechler 29, Cole 25, Mount 16, Beth Weynand 12, Moscovic 11).
